This well-made item is considered to be one of the rarest and most desirable of all “Mad” collectibles. First offered in “Mad” #46 from April 1959. Handmade in NY. Straight jacket is made of heavy white canvas and back features full color silk-screened facial portrait of Alfred E. Neuman below his “What – Me Worry?” catchphrase. There is a simulated strap/belt with an original small functional metal padlock sewn into in. “I’m Wearing My Mad Straight Jacket” text appears below Neuman’s face. Deep pockets are on front, allowing for wearer to put hands/arms within. Size Large as noted by small tag inside back collar. Some dirt, age spots, and wearing. Buyer pays preferred postage.
